"Good morning, son," Mom greeted me as she strolled into my room, carrying a tray in her hands, smiling warmly in my direction. She had come by because Sylvia and I would be getting married in a few months.
"Mom..." I responded, surprised. She chuckled, setting the tray down on the table.
"I know you're going to try and skip breakfast like always," she teased, placing her hands firmly on her waist.
"I have to go out of the city for business," I explained, but she just chuckled again, unconcerned.
