" Am I missing something?" Mum asked, walking into my room as I applied lipstick.

"Something like?" I asked, smiling.

"What's the occasion?" She questioned standing behind me where I sat in front of my mirror.

"Nothing serious, Just dinner with Jace" I shrugged.

"Just dinner and you are all dressed up ?"Mum chided, giving me a knowing look.

" I am not all dressed up, Mum" I countered, rolling my eyes.

"Sure, you are not, a black dinner gown this fancy and makeup is so simple "She continued.

"Mum" I groaned but the smile on my face remained as I remembered Jace's earlier text about the gown....
