“Pregnant?” Karla repeated in shock.

“Yes, Karla, she is three weeks pregnant” I responded, as I struggled with the feeling of betrayal that filled me.

“But, why didn't you say anything?” She asked, still in shock.

“This is good news, the best we have even had in a while and you didn't bother to say anything?”She added shaking her head like she couldn't wrap her head around all of it.

“I know and I am sorry, I just…” Paige paused glancing up to look at me and then at the doctor.

“Please excuse us,” I asked politely.

“Oh sorry, I will take my leave now” He quickly apologized...
