I drive home, my mind racing with thoughts of Octavia and Nadia. I'm worried about Octavia's condition, but at the same time confused about why Nadia would betray me like this, and worst of all I am mad at myself for being so blind.

As I walk into my study, I feel a surge of frustration and anger. I look around the room, and my eyes land on a vase on my desk. I pick it up and hurl it against the wall, watching as it shatters into a hundred pieces.
