Nora's mom didn't die. She's woken up after surgery, and is recovering quickly. I'm glad I made that decision. I'm glad Nora didn't have to go through the pain of losing the only family she has left.

Dad has also announced the official date for the event. It's in five days.

I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I need to get everything done within three days. I need to get back to the basement and see what's there.
