I picked up my phone for the umpteenth time to check the time.

Knox is still not back yet.

Nora got a call from the hospital that she needed to be there to sort something out, so she had to leave a few minutes ago, and here I am, all alone and bored.

For a moment, I thought of calling Knox, but held back. He clearly told me it was an important appointment. I can't afford to distract him.

I sighed, going downstairs to wait for him in the living room.

My phone chimed.

Knox;

'Hey! Are you good? I'll be home in a few minutes....
