The first thing I did when I woke up the next day was get down on my knees.

I remained in the position, listening to the sound of my wolf inside me.

She did not growl in fury, nor did she slam hard in my chest because of frustration.

Instead, she purred softly, curling up.

Peace.

Calmness.

Was all I felt from her.

I breathed in deeply and slowly.

“Thank you, dear wolf,” I said.

“For always being with me and never going silent on me despite everything.”
