Victoria's POV

I waited for what seemed like an hour, crouched in absolute silence. My body trembled with adrenaline, each second stretching into eternity. Finally, when I was sure the monster had moved far enough, I scrambled to my feet.

Every muscle in my body protested as I stood, sore. I grabbed my clothes from the floor, yanking them on with trembling hands. Fear clouded my thoughts, but one thing was crystal clear: I had to get out of here. Now.
