"Did Enoch send the divorce papers yet?" Grandfather asked as I fixed his drink. I glanced up from what I was doing and gave him a small smile.

"I already signed and sent them back to him. We are no longer together and good riddance to him. He has embarrassed our family enough. I told you he was a bad choice right from the start. You should have listened to me."

Grandfather grunted. "But did he really beat you, Delia? You didn't lie to me about anything did you?"
