"Fernando?" Lucia called out, looking surprised at the man seated with her parents.

"Peanuts," Fernando smirked, causing her to glare at him.

"You two already know each other? That's wonderful!" Mrs. Landon smiled. "Why don’t you sit down so we can discuss everything?"

"No!" Lucia shook her head.

"No?" Mr. Landon gave her a disappointed look.

"I’m not marrying Fernando or anyone else!" she declared firmly. George, though trying to seem disinterested, couldn’t help but glance at her, surprised to hear about the marriage.

"Why not? You’re not getting any younger, sweetheart," Mrs. Landon gave her a sympathetic look.
