Lucia sat smiling at her phone but abruptly paused when she sensed someone’s eyes on her. Slowly, she lifted her head and found George standing beside her, his expression unreadable.

“What do you want?” she whispered harshly.

“You told me to stand here,” George replied, his tone calm.

“Well, now I want you to stand over there,” she said, motioning for him to move further away.
