I regret giving Nadine the contract termination because right now I'm in a terrible place.

I avoid going back to the house, not wanting to see her face, which haunts me with every step I take.

Asher has been kind enough to let me stay at his place, but after a week, it’s getting old.

“You have to get your act together and go home,” Asher says, with frustration in his voice. “You can’t just think about yourself. You have Nadine and your son, Shawn, to consider.”
