I had no idea who this guy was or what he wanted from me, but I would rather he call me anything in the world other than that name. Slut. Bitch. Whore. Cunt. Any of those would work. Just not "Nicole." I was still pissed at her.

"Your name is not Nicole," he deadpanned. I could tell by his tone he was only patronizing me. It irked me beyond reason, but I answered anyway. I even managed to keep the sarcasm from my tone.
