Alexander’s POV

As I finally settled into a moment of respite, my phone buzzed, and I glanced at the caller ID. It was Sophia. I answered with a curious tone, wondering why she was calling at this hour.

"Sophia, what's going on?" I inquired.

Her voice came through with a mixture of concern and urgency. "Alexander, I just wanted to let you know that Daniel, Daisy, and Emilia are on their way to the mansion."

I couldn't help but feel a rush of irritation at the news. "Why aren't they still in Shadow City? I thought I made it clear that they were to stay there for the time being."...
