Kael slammed his fist on the table after hearing Ancient’s explanation. Kael hadn’t come to him to hear words that would only make him feel hopeless, as if everything he was striving for meant nothing.

He wanted to convince himself that rewriting his destiny with Eira would truly help him—at least a little—that Eira’s Hanahaki illness could vanish without a trace.

“I came here to rewrite my destiny, and I’m certain I can make Eira postpone her death in the future!” he said emphatically.
