 “I can’t even say she’s my look-alike because she looks too identical to me to be just a look-alike,” I said as I paced the room, my footsteps moving back and forth across the rug. My voice sounded breathless from how shaken I still felt. My mind was scattered in a million pieces, and I kept trying to regroup them, but each time I pictured that face on my phone, every thought scattered again.

 “Send her another message to keep her online, ask her questions,” Roman said. His brows were drawn together. He wasn’t taking this lightly at all.
