Six weeks into Natasha's visit, Viktor sent another letter—this time requesting a meeting to discuss "matters of mutual interest" that he preferred to address in person rather than through correspondence.

The request was carefully worded, professional, and somehow more ominous than if he'd been overtly threatening.

"What do you think he wants?" Helena asked, studying the letter with obvious suspicion.
