The guards left for the ore deposit at dawn, and Arianna insisted on going with them despite Elena's protests.

"You're supposed to be resting," the healer argued as Arianna prepared her travel pack.

"I can rest when this is over. Right now, I need to see the deposit myself, need to show the guards I'm not sending them somewhere I wouldn't go." Arianna finished packing and turned to face Elena. "Besides, my leg is much better. I can handle a few days of travel."
