A cloud of confusion settled within me as I tried to understand what she had just said; “Mom, what are you talking about?” I asked my voice barely above a whisper.

My heart was beating at a low pace, afraid to race too fast so as not to increase the dizziness I was already feeling. “What night are you talking about?”
