Violet's POV

Sky and other maids came to hold me back as soon as Axel left the place.

I cried so much that my head became a beating drum on my body.

My voice was totally gone and the only sounds that left my body were the occasional sniffles.

Ever since the revolution, I had always been alone but I had it in the back of my head that my parents were alive somewhere —now having to lose them both in one day...

Right in front of me, cut through my heart so deeply, I thought I would die.

Life was more than meaningless because even tears failed...
