Devon’s eyes squinted. “War?” Rising from his throne, he shouted in pure anger, “For what exactly?”

“For killing the royal princess of the Kingdom of Darte,” the royal messenger stammered, fleeing as fast as he could.

Before Devon could fully register the news, his right-hand man rushed into the room. “My lord, there’s a massacre! People are fighting outside.”
