As the footsteps got closer, I growled telling them to stay away.

"Honestly, this is such a pain."

I heard a branch snap from behind me and I sighed.

Guess they're not leaving.

Might as well fight.

I stood up in a fighting stance ready to attack whoever came out while making sure to keep Lilian hidden behind me.

"Woah Matteo calm down. It's me."

I frowned and tilted my head as I watched Romeo emerge from the bushes.

I scoffed and still growled at him.
