I am sitting curled up on the sofa with Hattie, loving the fact she is home. A coffee in my hand, as we both sat and watched Devin play with his toys on the floor. Suddenly, a loud banging at the door made Hattie jump out of her skin. I think this whole experience has affected her more than she is willing to admit, but she seems to want to pretend like all is fine, so we are going along with that. I am not going to keep checking if she is okay if she does not want to talk about it, or else she gets snappy.
