Fire was spreading.

I can hear the howling of the wind coming abruptly from the east, the crackling of the burning things around me as everything set ablaze, going larger as seconds pass.

The buildings, the forest, and the people who failed to run away from it were being licked by the tongues of deadly flames, incinerating everything, cremating people alive.

And the ashes fall like snow from the dark clouded sky as the bolts of a lightning flash, yet the rain never came.
