Killian uncorked the bottle as he looked at me.
“You shouldn’t know that,” he said, giving me a sideways glance, before taking a deep swig.
I shrugged and gave him a slight smile.
“I have only ever had a little taste.”
“You stole it from my fridge.”
“You don’t need that much of it.”
Killian snorted quietly, then sat down next to me, placing the beer on the table— and out of my reach. It might taste like crap, but whatever it takes to get me through today.
“What are you going to do over the break?” I asked, tapping my fingers on the granite countertop.
