In our wolf forms, we crouch low behind a small hill near the entrance to the auction house. Bidders arrive, their gilded automobiles stopping in the circular driveway in front of the building, where a concierge welcomes them.

I recognize a few of the people. Alphas of various packs, investors I’ve worked with on different projects throughout the kingdom. A few I don’t recognize, but that doesn’t mean they understand that these items are stolen. The brochure for the sale announces them as the legitimate property of an estate, after all.
