I keep having to do a double-take each time I pass in front of a mirror or reflective surface. I always heard girls say makeup was supposed to enhance a person’s beauty. This makeup wasn’t enhancing anything about me; it just makes me look like a total stranger with ridiculously high cheekbones. 

I touch my nose as I realize how small it appears, but when I grasp it, I can tell it is still the same size. Makeup can really create illusions. I’m glad, however, that shaving my nose down didn't mean cutting it off.
