As the afternoon drew to a close, I returned to my office at Avalon and began organizing the evidence I'd gathered, including CCTV footage and a zoomed-in print of the suspect's expensive shoes. Chris wasn't around, but he called shortly after I settled in, instructing me to change into something elegant as quickly as possible.
