"What's up?"  David sighs, and suddenly everything appears to slow down. David tickles my brow. Suddenly, I feel calm, but David takes his lips away.

"She must have changed when she was marked. I'll figure it out later."

David squeaks out of Hunter and my sister Neme's room.

I dash downstairs, Jessica is watching me from the doorway, her eyebrows pinched in uncertainty.

Then David advised me to remain downstairs.

"Neme’s shifted." I pant.

Unbelievably, Jessica's eyes widen. "Neme? But-"

Jessica regains control
