The Next Day.

My hands shook uncontrollably as the nerves started to set in. I nervously bit on my lower lip, straining to hear footsteps outside the door.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

After an eternity, well actually 10 minutes, the footsteps finally came as my doctor stepped foot inside of the room.

"Well Ms Reed, are you ready for the results?" He asked.

I nodded my head reluctantly, "You are pregnant." He said, speaking the words I dreaded. “Congratulations!!” he added.

I gave a wan smile. Tell me it's a prank. Someone tell me!!!!

“But the doctor took my blood, there weren't anything abnormal… those levels. I should've paid attention at—"...
