He froze. “What?”

“Mina,” I whispered, tears filling my eyes again. “Why are you sleeping with Mina?”

“Celeste—”

“Is it because of this morning?” My voice cracked. “Because I kissed you? Is that why you did that with her?”

“No, that’s not—”

“Then why?” I demanded.

“Wait—is that why you’re crying?” he asked, as if I were making a big deal out of nothing.

“Yes. Why are you sleeping with her?” My voice was getting louder with each word.

“Shhh!” He pressed his finger against my lips. “Stop asking.”

One, two tears fell from my eyes. “Why are you doing this to me, Jace?”
