Everything felt wrong at home. Celeste had been back for days now, but she wouldn’t even look at me.

She avoided every room I entered, every hallway I walked down. It was like I didn’t exist to her anymore. And it was killing me.

“Celeste,” I called out when I finally caught her in the hallway. “Please. I just want to talk.”
