“You’re going to regret this, Celeste!” Aria screamed as I walked away. “I swear you’ll regret it!”

Back in the dining room, Elewon grabbed my arm, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Oh my God! I can’t believe you actually did that!”

I sat down and picked up my fork. “She was asking for it.” The house felt peaceful now. Quiet. “She’s been a nasty bitch since the day she got here.”

“But what if Jace gets angry?” Elewon asked, her voice dropping to a whisper. “What if he punishes you?”

“I don’t care,” I said simply. “She attacked me first. I just gave her back the same energy.”
