"Honey I love this place..we should come back again another time…what do you think!?"

I asked Bryant trying to get his attention for the millionth time alone that evening and once again I could see my plan for a romantic night fading.

I tried not to notice it.

I tried to pretend that it didn't bother me and I smiled all the way to the corners of my lips. If anybody saw us from afar they would think that we were the perfect couple, and we really were.

The only thing that was left was for him to act as if I actually existed in the same space...
