I stared at him. This man was impossible. I knew he was protecting the arrangement, and the image we were selling. So why did it feel so personal?
“Understood, sir,” the PR head said quickly, breaking the silence. “We’ll have the release ready by noon.”
Silas stood up. Apparently, destroying my emotional stability once wasn’t enough, because he pulled me up with him, our hands still joined.
