The next Monday, Catherine returned to campus and brought snacks for her friends. As she was passing a bag of chips to Ethel, she suddenly asked, "What's your SAT score?"

"1001."

Ethel said carefully, "Didn't Kings College recruit students scoring at least 1800? That's the bottom."

"I know. What's your point?" asked Catherine.

"I'm just wondering what you got from math, reading, and writing. It's okay if you don't want to tell me."

Catherine hesitated for seconds and said, "I'm sure you can find that out online easily. I'll tell you. I got 300 on math, 300 on reading, and 401 on writing."

Ethel took a peek at her computer....
