Lia being in the hospital was like a punch in the gut.

A stab in the jaw.

A knife to the throat.

A kick in the ass.

You get the idea.

"Clarity come on I have to take you home, your parents are worried." I felt Alex shaking me.

"ISLIAAWAKE?!?!" I shouted as I jumped up and looked around the room.

I looked down and noticed Lia was still resting peacefully in the hospital bed, the only thing moving was her chest which was rising up and down from her breathing. I didn't leave her side, I didn't want to I wanted to be the first one she saw...
