I and Ethan carefully moved through the darkness, sticking to the shadows to avoid detection. The tension became more heightened as we began to hear the sound of footsteps and the constant growling of Zaes minions. My heart pounded, and I tried to keep myself composed, knowing Adrian was somewhere nearby.
