Apphia's pov

 

After I open my eyes, I feel rested and refreshed. Drake tells me I fainted after placing my forehead against the cat. I vaguely remember a bright light surrounding the room before losing consciousness. It was so strange. I glance at the feline curled up at the end of the bed in an elegant pose. She's sleeping peacefully now.

 

Drake escorts me to my room, and I carry the cat. She seems comfortable and has stopped shaking.

I sit on a large, fluffy white carpet in the bedroom, caressing the cat.

 

"Do you think they'll let me keep her?" I ask. I see no pets around the castle.
