There is a knock on my door, and it is pushed open. Dad and Mom enter. 

"Nicholas, son, why have you asked us to come?" he asks, taking a seat. My mom comes to my side, kisses my hair, and sits beside her mate. 

"I called you here because something has been happening lately," 

They share a glance, "What is it, Nick?" 

"Lately, the wraiths have been fighting me to come out," I explain, 

"How?" Mom asks, worried. 

"They are mostly attracted to power, and lately, they have been wanting Apphia's,"
