It was a nightmare, one that I wished I could wake up from. But there was no escape, no end in sight. I clung to the hope that his eyes would soften, that he would grin and tell me he was just kidding, that this was all some twisted game meant to scare me. But I knew better. Judas didn’t play games like that. Not this time. Not ever.

Nothing about him was predictable. He was cruel, his touch like the fire that burned through my soul.
