RAYMOND’S POV 

My throat went dry the second Marvelous said those words. His dark eyes bored into me, serious and burning with something that made my skin prickle. No games. No teasing smile. Just raw need.

“Okay,” I whispered, my voice shaky. “Uh… Bedroom?”

He nodded once. 

I led him down the short hallway, hyper-aware of his heavy footsteps right behind me. My hands trembled as I pushed the bedroom door open and turned on the bedside lamp. 

Soft light filled the room, catching on the rumpled sheets. Shane crawled through my chest. How embarrassing. 

Marvelous stepped inside and closed the door with a quiet click that sent a jolt...
