I woke up with a splitting headache, the kind that made the morning light feel like needles behind my eyes.
It had been a full week since that insane night in the gym. My body still remembered every thrust, every stretch, every filthy load they had pumped into me.
Chim and Bobby had left two days ago for their grandmother’s place—some family obligation Eddie flat-out refused.
“I don’t get along with that woman,” he had said with a shrug, and that was that.
The house felt too quiet without all four of us causing trouble. I dragged myself downstairs to cook breakfast for the family.
