Valtherion found me that evening.

I was standing in the empty meeting hall,

imagining it full.

"Nervous?" he asked, wrapping his arms around me from behind.

I leaned into him. "Terrified."

"Why?"

"What if I mess this up? What if I'm not a good enough Alpha for them?"

"Luna."

Valtherion turned me gently to face him.

"You've already proven yourself. You gave them safety, respect… hope."

His hands cupped my face, steady and warm.

"Tomorrow you'll give them a family. That's all they need."

I kissed him. Soft. Grateful.

"Will you be there?" I asked. "At the ceremony?"

"If you want me."

"I do."

"I'll be there."
