“She is two weeks pregnant,” the doctor said, staring at Ruby through tiny pair of glasses.

“What it can’t be true,” he argued briefly pondering if he was responsible or Fanny.

The doctor raised a brow and peered at him wondering at his reply. “I thought you said she is your wife.”
