22. When cornered
The sun's rays treacherously crept into the room before nine in the morning, waking me up. I opened my eyes, and the first thing I did, out of a new habit, was staring at the ceiling. Is it familiar? No, everything is in order, I woke up in the same place where I fell asleep: in my own bed and for the sake of a change - alone. The cat has gone somewhere. There were a few red hairs and a couple of brown spots on the duvet cover. I seem to be giving Adelaide a lot of trouble with laundry.
