The note was a painful echo of the emotions that had been building between Paty and me. It read:

"Ethan,

I can't continue like this. I've waited, hoped, and yearned for your love and attention, but it's clear that your heart belongs to another. I can't be second best, not when I'm carrying our child.

I've decided to leave Harold's Pack and find a new home where I can raise our baby without the constant reminder that I'm not the one you truly love. It's heartbreaking, but it's what I need to do for my own well-being and for our child's future.
