SHE'S JOINING THE TROOP

My phone buzzed and I quickly answered it.

"Could you fucking stop calling me?" I seethed feeling irritated with Chase constantly calling just to say nothing.

"Give yourself a break, we're not getting defeated."

His words sank into me and when his call ended I turned around just to meet Mildred's eyes on me.

"Enid?" She called out dreamily.

"Shut the fuck up and get back to sleep." I snapped.

She nodded and rolled over to the side. When she didn't move for a while and her breathing was steadied I knew she was asleep again.

I stood up and headed back to Megan's room....
