Amanda's POV

I woke up feeling sick again that morning. It was not the kind of sick that came from bad food or too much wine the night before. This was different. This had been happening for weeks now, and I knew exactly what it meant, even if I did not want to say the word out loud.

I sat on the edge of my bed and pressed a hand against my stomach. There was nothing to see yet, no change in how my clothes fit, but I could feel it. A small, quiet thing growing inside me that was going to change everything whether I was ready or not....
