Ryder stared at Renee like she was crazy, his mouth opened in disbelief.

‘She wants me to reject Xena? Is she insane?’ Ryder thought to himself.

Renee knew from the moment she saw Ryder clench his jaw, he wouldn't be rejecting her.

“Are you going to reject her? Or ..” She trailed off, turning her attention to Xena.

She knew what the answer to that question was already but she wanted him to say it himself.

“I would never reject her!” Ryder spat out.

Renee clenched her jaw in anger. Hearing Ryder actually say no to her made her blood boil and she turned to Xena in anger....
